Looks like you’ll be able to soon enough. Franchise Pundit reports that GameStop, who has almost created a monopoly on video game stores after merging with Software Etc., Babbages, Gamesworld, Funcoland, and EB Games, is going to start franchising next year.

The news seems to have leaked out of GameStop’s annual gobal manager’s conference in Vegas this weekend.

Video games, used video games in particular, is an industry that is growing at an amazing rate, and GameStop has one of the best reputations in the industry. Partially do to great return policies, and high trade-in values (when compared to other stores).

It will be interesting to see if this becomes realty, but right now - things are looking up.
