Franchise Bits

On Thursday the owner of 11 Mc Donald’s franchises had his office raided as federal agents looked through files and removing hard drives from computers. The reason? They believe he has been hiring illegal immigrants.

Employees at all 11 franchises were detained and any who could not provide proof that they were eligible to work in the US, they were arrested.

The entire escapade was the climax of a 5 month investigation that could put the Franchisee behind bars. He could face criminal felony charges as well as fines ranging from $250 to $10,000 dollars for each unauthorized individual hired.
